Camping in and around the area of Mount Rainier National Park includes the coveted semi-wilderness camping alternatives found in the State and Federal campgrounds with minimal services. Tent campers, young families and the growing groups of adventurous backpackers love this type of outdoorsy experiences.

RV Parks

Motorhomes and moter coaches will be interested to know that there are a number of full service RV parks in the Mount Rainier National Park area. At the Southwest Entrance in Ashford is Mounthaven Resort offers large and wide secluded full hookup RV sites having 20 and 30 amp electric service, as well as water and sewer connections. Packwood RV Park is a bit larger with 87 RV sites and many tent sites on nearly 8 acres of mostly wooded ground. Packwood RV Park is open all year too. Call (360) 494-5145 to make reservations.
